Ludworth Primary Remembers

This week marks the 100th anniversary of the end of the Great War. Here at Ludworth we have been thinking about this all week.

On Tuesday, Reverend Tom led an assembly to help us to remember why we think about our fallen soldiers at this time of the year. All week two of our School Councilors have been selling poppies and Reverend Tom helped us to think about why we wear them with pride.

Back in class, everyone then made a poppy to display alongside our 'There but not There' soldier.  We then had another assembly together to think about people who lost their lives and we used out 'There but not There' soldier to think about the people who might have lived in the village today if our soldiers had not died in World Wars 1 and 2.

On Friday, our School Counsellors walked to the Ludworth War Memorial and laid a wreath on behalf of the rest of the school.
