Beamish Museum

Classes 2 and 3 spent a day at Beamish Museum in order to enhance their curriculum. Luckily, the weather mainly held out and the children were able to enjoy a range of experiences to help them understand how people used to live.

Everyone was super brave when we went down the mine shaft. We learned that children as young as us would often work for long hours in a deep, dark pit.

School was very different back then!
