OPAL Award

As you know, for the last two years we have been involved with OPAL to develop the quality of our play offer in school. At the end of this time we were assessed and awarded the highest possible standard for our play. This means that our children have exceptional play opportunities at break times so that they can develop their independence, creativity, problem solving and risk management - to name but a few skills!

The children love this and so do the staff! Our lunchtime supervisors are now play leaders and they have seen a big difference is the way the children interact and in the quality of playtimes. Our children love OPAL and would be horrified if we took it away!

We would like to than Michael Follett and the OPAL team for all their help, support and guidance over the last two years. We are definitley continuing to develop and improve play in our school as it is now a valued part of school life.

Most recently, the Esh Group kindly donated some construction items and we have developed a construction area in the yard.
