Mothers' Day Lunch

We were delighted to see so many mams enjoying lunch with their children. Many thanks to our school cook who did a wonderful job getting all of the extra meals ready and thanks to our lunchtime supervisors for managing it all!

After lunch, the whole school came together for a special assembly about mams and different types of families. We thought about how all families are different but they are still families: there isn't one 'proper' way of being a family. We also thought about the qualities our mams have and that in some families the person who takes the role of mam isn't always the same as the traditional idea of who or what a mother is.
