Good Attendance

As all parents are aware, we consider good attendance to be a crucial factor in the success and happiness of children in school. When children attend school for the majority of time, they can progress more easily in their learning and they also feel secure and part of the school community. Disjointed attendance can lead, not only to poor academic progress, but to children feeling out of step with their classmates, which can in turn lead to isolation and friendship issues.

Although we hold assemblies every half term to celebrate good attendance, we also feel that good attendance in school is an expectation because it is a legal requirement. In other words, good attendance should be the norm!

Well done to those children who achieved 97% or above attendance during the first half of Autumn Term.
